Mrs Hillmans Class - Science

Organisms Have CharacterTop of Page

Mrs. Hillman’s third grade class at Beach enjoyed exploring and discovering the parts of a flower as they dissected gladiolas as part of the Battlecreek Science unit Organisms Have Character.
Hands-on discovery is an important component of the science curriculum that engages students and leads to inquiry.  “Students are much more interested when there is a hands-on component that connects the learning to real life,” says Mrs. Hillman, “without that, science is meaningless to many students.”
